What is Ascent?
Ascent is a World of Warcraft Horde guild on the US RP-PvE central time server Scarlet Crusade.
While we in no way discourage role playing (rp), our current members do not actively participate in that part of our community. Our focus is to move through end-game content as efficiently as possible.

Who is Ascent?
Ascent is made up of around 40 active raid members. While some have been playing together for years, others are recent server transfers. The officers have been leading guilds since 2005, first Vetus Schola then Amici for 40-man content, and Ascent for 25-man.
In old world content, we cleared the spider wing in Naxx and downed Twin Emperors in AQ40. We have had every Horde server first kill since Razorgore in Blackwing Lair. You can find our current progression here.

What do I need to know before applying?
Before applying to Ascent, we would recommend you check out both our Policies and Loot Rules. We strive to be fair and transparent in all things we do, but it's important our methods match yours. From there you should really be sure you meet all of the minimum requirements.

What days and times do you raid?
We raid Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 7pm CST to 11pm CST. Invites go out at 6:30pm CST. There are no sign-ups. We put together the optimal raid comp based who are online, first come, first invited.
How much experience does Ascent have with server transfers?
About 90% of our guild are not originally from Scarlet Crusade. We are very familiar with the transfer process and are more than willing to help a new recruit go through it. Normally transfers take 1-2hrs.
We are also sensitive about being in a new community and having to make new friends. Since most of our members have experienced the same thing, we are open and friendly to newcomers from the first moment you join.

What is Scarlet Crusade like?
While SC is classified as an RP-PVE server, there is very little of that role playing part left. You can visit our realm forums for a list of current rp guilds and rp'ers if you would like to explore that further.
Feedback from recruits has been that SC has slightly higher-than-normal AH prices. Many have purchased items on there original server and then sold them on ours for a profit. It's recommended that you run a level 1 character to an AH to check them yourself.
Scarlet Crusade has about 20,000 players with a ratio of 1:1.5, Horde:Alliance. While we are medium to high population, we have never had a log-in queue in the 3 years we've been here. The benefit is you can almost always find what you need on the AH.
While we are not focused on PvP, many of our members enjoy it. Battleground times are normally low, 0-2 minutes. Arenas can go from 0-3 minutes for 5v5's to 10 minutes for 2v2's, depending on the day and time. We are in the Reckoning battlegroup.
